2017 - A Black Star
As Bob Dylan said, "It's not dark out yet... but it's getting there". Someone wrote yesterday that 2017 is the year that social justice died. I wouldn't go that far but 2017 has been a kick in the teeth for every progressive cause; wealth redistribution, healthcare, military disarmament, environmental issues, citizens rights, world cooperation... the list could go on and on. We are beyond the end of a type of exploitative economic system but unfortunately can't face the facts. We are prone to the deception to look out for our own ends while the world collectively spirals into unforgiving ghettos of despair. Only by reversing the trend and embracing the sovereign right of peoples and cultures over the cult of corrupt corporations, currencies, and kleptocrats can we fulfill our potential for a scientific, artistic, and educationally focused civilization of tomorrow.
Let's hope the darkness fades before we collectively jump off a cliff

Agreed clumsysilverdad. I think we took some ma for steps back in 2018. Hopefully decentralized platforms such as this will help get us back on track.
