Huawei takes on Apple with the Matebook
Maybe some of you already heard but Huawei makes more then just Smartphones. Huawei made a Smartbook and it is pretty clear they are gunning after the Apple Macbooks, the design looks pretty much like a Macbook and on top of that Wan Biao chief operating officer kept comparing the two laptops during his opening, which made it pretty clear.
The Matebook is 13" Inch and has two USB Type-C ports, it is 12.5 mm thick and you can have an Intel Core i5 or i7 in the laptop with either a 256GB or 512GB storage. it has 8GB RAM and it has a 10 hour battery life which is pretty amazing. The laptop also has a fingerprint scanner so that you can authenticate yourself.
We don't know the exact date of the release (probably later this year) or a certain price but you can estimate it will be above 800$, the Matebook will come in the colors grey, gold, rose. (weirdly enough not silver like the Macbook).
Even though Huawei has made giant steps forward I think this is maybe stretching their limits. It is my opinion their phones are still playing catch up to the iPhone, so maybe the laptops is just a bit too much for now
Yeah I agree, they have a good start but they still have a long way to go before they are at the same level with their phones it will be the same for their laptops.
