Gun Control in Action- 48 Shot, 11 Fatally, In Christmas Weekend Shootings In Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) — Eleven men were killed and at least 37 other people have been wounded in shootings over Christmas weekend across Chicago.
The gun violence since Friday evening has surpassed the toll over the same four-day holiday last year, when 30 people were shot across the city.
Christmas was cut short for dozen of people in Obama's home town of Chicago. Chicago now has a higher murder rate than New York City and Los Angles combined. Source It's well on it's way for a record number of murder this year than in the last few decades.
Who would of thought that tighter gun control would actually cause more shootings?

As a pro-gun criminologist, I can say with certainty that increased gun ownership does not cause more crime. It is very possible to read the statistics and conclude that increased gun control = increased crime and vice-versa. However, other factors are at play in a lot of these killings (the drug trade, personal and gang-related fighting, economics, etc). What we do know is that gun ownership has no effect on crime (and may decrease it). In all, gun control is a failed criminal justice policy that erodes liberty.
