Colorado residents ran into problems because it's not just one computer system your record is recorded in. Like the police, courts, parole etc. all have their own computer systems. You don't just hit "delete" and it's gone. It's going to be hard to get rid of of your record everywhere. The whole system was set up to share information not to get rid of information.

Canada and the USA share information when you try to come up here it could still be on our system. I know for sure whatever you do in Canada your record is on US customs forever you need to apply for a waiver, they don't recognize a Canadian pardon. So international travel could still be a hassle for California residents. You can't force, say Australia, to delete a California conviction from their system....
