This piece really surprised me as I wrote a 3 part series on the 5 year absence of an OIG of the State Department about around the same time frame as this article (April, 2017), right here on the Steemit blockchain. What are the odds!?
Actually, you're piece adds new dimensions involving the numerous investigations that were shutdown by Hillary's staff during her tenure. Excellent stuff.
Although my digging into this phenomenon goes in a different direction, I think you'll find the series an interesting parallel to this piece.
The missing $6 billion at the State Department while HRC was head of State comes to mind.
Anyways, fantastic article, I'm surprised I never came across it previously.
