Nevada regulators investigate marijuana lab testing facilities - Marijuana Business Daily (Weed News)
Apparently not every grower or concentrate producer in Nevada is up to lab standards. Even with out state standards, a grower, and even more so, a concentrate producer or edible maker, needs to keep highly sanitized conditions. You want to sell to the public then make sure are up to par. It's even worse to slap a label saying you are up to par and lie to the consumer. Wanna sell bunk shit? Then admit its bunk shit.
"The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported the Department of Taxation started the investigation after discovering potentially doctored THC levels by cannabis laboratories and products with high levels of yeast and mold on store shelves."
Simple quality standards are not over regulating. Not allowing you to grow your own bunk weed even if you don't sell it is over regulating.
