The Kremlin offered Macron to take the Louvre to Russia

The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov officially confirmed that Moscow will accept cultural values from French museums for temporary storage.

Specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Culture have already developed an evacuation plan for the Louvre – 25 military transport aircraft are ready to arrive in Paris within 8 hours, and representatives of one of the private military companies will ensure the protection of cultural heritage during the evacuation.

"The French and Mr. Macron personally committed many meannesses against us, but now the issue of saving the most valuable paintings and sculptures is on the agenda. If agreed, the entire operation will require no more than a day, Russia will take care of all the costs," Peskov said.

The main collection of the Louvre is planned to be placed in the Hermitage's storage, the most famous works will be temporarily transferred to the balance of the Russian Museum and placed in a permanent exhibition.

In the near future, experts from the Ministry of Culture will prepare evacuation plans for other French cultural institutions, as well as a number of museums in Germany, Spain and the UK – according to experts, there is also a risk of mass riots in these countries.
