Seven workers, including six Bangladeshis, died in a fire at a building in Riyadh, capital of Saudi Arabia.

More than five Bangladeshis were injured in the incident on Friday morning.

Labore counselor Sarwar Alam of Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh told bdnews24.com that the incident happened in the fire at a building of Riyadh's Al Nura University residential area building.

The assailants were taken to Simuichi Hospital in Riyadh. The embassy's second secretary, Shafiqul Islam, confirmed the identity of the six Bangladeshis who were killed there.

According to Saudi Defense Civil Defense, local news agency SBQO reported the death of seven migrant workers in the incident.

Riyadh Civil Defense spokesman Major Mohammad al-Hamadi said in their report, that the workers were in the building at the entrance to the house, 45 were in the building at that time. There were 54 people in the building, more than the capacity.

There was no other way out of the inner rooms. Most of the victims were residents of those rooms, a civil defense said in a tweet.
Five Bangladeshi injured in the accident are being treated at the hospital, Labor Counselor Sarwar Alam said.
