in #news7 years ago

New milestone:  The state of New Hampshire has proven itself as Bitcoin friendly:)

On March 9, 2017, the House of Representatives passed a bill that will effectively exempt those using virtual currencies from registering as money transmitters based on the pubic records showing Governor Chris Sununu signing it into law on June 2.In the past, New Hampshire legislators also proposed a bill to accept Bitcoin payment in taxes and to completely deregulate Bitcoin.

Hopefully more states will follow this policy

Other countries:

-  Australian government thinks that it will have a profound impact in the country’s econoy

- Japan approved Bitcoin as a legal form of payment on April 1, 2017 and with that the domino effect was Blockchain technology increased its credibility to its digital currencies.

Really glad to see government are deregulating and aware the importance of the technology, the next step is to remove people sterotype on the alt coin, and not put a bubble next to the news.

The term "money transmitters". I will have to look further into this. Right now I am wading through all the tax jargon and setting up some accounting principals.

I look for three thing I. Real money: liquidity, pay taxes, army will defend it. Well Bitcoin meets the first two...

Thanks for posting! This is nice information. I once read an article that said the first country to capitalize on Bitcoin will be a country that becomes very rich. It seems as if multiple countries are now realizing BTC's potential.
