"Preface: I am not a professional nor casual writer. Please excuse any shortcomings with my post. I FEEL & BELIEVE this is one of the MOST impprtant moments in STEEM existance. Please Share with other. Please Resteem."
Today I woke up to this article from Bloomberg.
"YouTube and Facebook Are Losing Creators to Blockchain-Powered Rivals"
"Some say privacy concerns, censorship, and a coming ban on cryptocurrency ads are driving them away from the big names."
I knew even before clicking the headline they mist be talking about DTube & STEEM. Bloomberg is one of the most trusted new sources on the planet. This was going to BIG in our world. The article did not disappoint.
The article opens with talking about @furiouspete123. Saying he has 5 million fans and the the majority of his content in the last 2 months are on new video platform DTube.
In the article creators are leaving traditional YouTube and finding a new home in Dtube. Mostly due to in increased censorship by YouTube.
People are leaving centralized powers of YouTube, Facebook, & twitter. They are migrating to decentralized platforms. Steem being the popular. Steem has grown by 120,000 last month alone. That is a 12.5% growth in less than 5 weeks. Simply,AWESOME!!!
CEO of Steemit @ned was interviewd. Here's what he was quoted as saying.
“The whole experience is more transparent,” he says. “There won’t be many single authorities dictating how social media operates.”
Perfectly said. This moment in Steem very young life is so important because the world is hearing about the STEEM platform for Bloomberg. They are learning about Steem and what it is all about. People no longer are chained to these media platforms that constrain & enslave their users. They are alternative. They is STEEM.
Here is the entire article on Bloomberg. Thank you everyone for reading this post. Please share & resteem. This is so Important.

The sky is the limit. Are we going to the MOON. Or are we going past to Jupiter & Beyond?
We should crack the milestone of 1,000,000 sometime this month. Outstanding. Thank you to all the people around the world contributing to Steem platform and all other projects related to Steem. Especially to the all my friends who contributed to my growth on Steem.

Did they say when we will finally get SMTs? :)
Wow, Bloomberg is huge! This is great news for Steemit. Thanks for sharing this with us. Let's hope this will bring more people to this wonderful community. We will need more mainstream media attention for Steemit to become bigger than Facebook, which I believe it can.
Nice article. The best blog for this week. Steemit is the next big thing that will disrupt new technology and removing the power to the centralized authority to the masses. Thanks I have found this
HI @hiroyamagishi Thank you for the very nice compliment. Don't usually blog but I feel that this is a very important event with in Steem. Agree whole heartily with you; Steem is the next big thing. That the value proposition they offer of moniterzation, privacy, and de-centralization is far superior to what company like Facebook, YouTube, I.G., Twitter, SnapChat, & others like them are offering to the masses. Have a day. I followed you. Take care.

Great! Hopefully more users will use the platform.
Yes, Nice article!
What a good article, I personally love steemit for the same reason that you have said in your comment, I feel that you can express yourself and think about what you want! Great work friends
Bloomberg in particular has had a lot of great articles recently, wonder what changed.
I like to call them FUDberg, because they always come out with these anti-crypto stories via anonymous sources.
I'm actually surprised they covered Steemit in such a positive light, seeing as decentralize media platforms are a direct threat to the legacy media dinosaurs like CNBC, Reuters etc..
wow! i'm proud that i'm belong to this community, thanks @ned for your effort and doing the best you can to make the steemit platform and steem token a niche for the users, and no doubts the investors will come and we make a word a better place. :)
STEEM getting positive exposure in Bloomberg is great to see. I feel very exclusive having been a part of the community sense last year and having an investment in Steem Power. The potential for STEEM is huge and I’m glad to be a part of it in these early days! Thanks for the share! Resteem
Thank you @brettcalloway. For taking the time to read, comment, and resteem. It is a very exciting time to part of something that is very special.
Buying 2$ a steem feels like buying a share of Amazon for 2$ 😀
Haha it warms my heart
This is fun.
This article is good for us!
I also like the fact that the problems that lie ahead are also set out. This is not a one-sided song of praise - and that's good!
"The flip side, of course, is that such lax rules can make these sites havens for precisely the kinds of hate speech, conspiracy theories, and otherwise undesirable material that YouTube and others are slowly taking action to block." - Source
I have no doubt that we will reach one million users this month.
Keep Steeming!
Hi @oliverschmid. Yes Yes. This no one sided piece. The author did a great job. The process of on-boarding is getting faster and faster. Millions of user sooner than later. Thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my post. I followed you. Have a wonderful day.
Hehe, I was thinking just the same thing. I hope we don't get flooded in the next few weeks with thousands of flat-earthers and fear-porn writers... But who cares, anyone is welcome to me!
If the registration runs smoothly, we will for sure.
That's wonderful but in my opinion, STEEM needs some improvements to be able to attract more entrepreneurs and companies to the platform such as:
If that happen, I can say Steem is able to be facebook alternative and more users will join it.
I wish to see STEEM more popular in the future :)
To make this more and more a real thing, we need more and more convenient Interfaces, make stuff more usable like Facebook and Google do. I will not say, that they current state of all front-end applications is bad, but the entry for newcomers is somehow pretty high.
At this point in the game, most of the users are early adopters (or just stupid bots) so they have knowledge about blockchain and all surrounding themes. But new users, lacking knowledge and the power to read into the cryptospace, are getting pretty overwhelmed with all the keys, they numbers, they thoughts behind the voting system. Some of them might be victims of scames and lose their interest and thrust into the platform.
But this migration away from facebook and others might be the start of something great
