One thing to keep in mind is that Trump is an A/B tester: he'll throw out a series of ideas about the same topic or policy that seem contradictory or unrelated, and then he'll sit back for a few days to let it stir up in the media and among the people (social media), and then, based on the response he gets from his customers (voters, citizens), he'll act. It's a real populist type of thing to do, and I see people getting spun around by it all the time as though he didn't write a best-selling book about doing this. What we, the people, need to do is continue to express our concerns and outrage over the pedo-rings and child trafficking, stir it up as much as possible so Trump knows where our concerns lie, and hope that our concerns are greater than institutional concerns.
