The United States of the stalemate
Both the ruling Republican and opposition Democratic parties wanted the federal government to remain inactive for a second time in a month. The people of both parties take a compromise position, since the common people do not accept the matter kindly, but only see it as a failure of politicians. But even after one senator's stubbornness, a few hours of stagnation could not be avoided.
On Thursday afternoon, it is known that Republican leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic leader Chuck Schmayt reached an agreement, aiming to ensure the allocation of expenditure in the army and domestic sectors for the next two years. Democracy leader Nancy Pelosi, in the delegation, raised the first objection to the deal. His accusation, in this agreement, there are no mention of legitimacy of nearly eight lakh 'called' program members. This question will be raised in Congress, Speaker Paul Ryan has not given any assurances.
Although these two objections were overtaken by party leaders, senator Rand Paul alone kept the vote in the Senate until midnight. According to the current rules of the Senate, any senator has the right to delay a few hours even if he can not stop voting. By taking this opportunity, he alone went to the midnight until the senate opposed the deal and gave lecture. Rand Paul had alleged that both party leaders agreed on the budget proposal, as they failed to keep the federal deficit budget limited to $ 300 billion in accordance with the earlier agreement. Finally, after midnight, the Senator Paul stopped the talk and passed the resolution 71-28.
But the drama was not finished yet in the delegation. A large part of the Republicans refused to support him in this argument, due to this proposal that the federal deficit could increase dramatically. As a result, the proposal without the support of the Democrats was not likely to be accepted by the representative. On the other hand, there will be debate on the 'call' question, despite the promise made by Speaker Ryan, Nancy Pelosi continues to oppose the resolution adopted by the Senate in the face. But in the closed-door meeting, he encouraged voting for the proposal of his party members. He argued that the Republican Party is dependent on this proposal, which will provide political benefits for Democrats.
Finally, the resolution was accepted at 240 to 187 votes during Washington time on Friday morning. 67 Republicans and 72 Democrats voted against the proposal. President Trump said he would sign the proposal.
Under this law, two years' budget for the army, including the allocation of additional federal allocation and federal allocation for the next two years, is ensured.
Although the federal government is active because of this compromise, part of the Democratic Party is very annoyed because it is not in agreement to 'pray'. But leaders of both parties have given this assurance that the solution will be achieved if the matter is raised in congressional terms.
