Use the Android handset as a remote for dSLR.

Maybe you are looking for a remote for your dSLR with which you can easily manage your dSLR. Your Android handset will be able to use it easily. But what you need for it is:

1. A dSLR
2. An Android handset with IR blaster
3. A dSLR Remote App

To know whether your handset can be used as a remote, you need to know if your set has IR Blaster.

Today, most of the new phones have this feature, such as Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Note 3, Note 4, LG G3, HTC One M Eight.
Now if you find out that your handset is remote, then download the dSLR Remote App from your Play Store. This is an app that lets you take photos with DSLR with your handset.

Here's how to do all the process

1. Start the app on your handset first and choose which brand your camera is. Although this app works for most popular brands.

2. Now setup the Remote option from your Camera settings tab.

For the Canon model it is with a self-timer. For Nikon models, you can choose from the remote option menu. Other brands may need to manually select the remote option.

1. Turn off your camera's auto power off option. Now once the remote shooting starts in your dSLR, you will see four options of Remote, Timer, Random and HDR on your phone screen.

Depending on your dSLR, your phone screen will show a Remote Release button containing an S or a Time Remote Release button containing 2S. Touch it now for the photo floor.
