The rise and fall of the two decades of Korea's relations
North Korea and South Korea's isolated conference was held almost seven decades ago on Friday. Residents of the Korean peninsula are dreaming, through this summit, the two Koreas will start their journey towards unity and forget their own differences. The Korean Peninsula will be free from nuclear weapons.
After separation in 1953, a report from the two Korean leaders shouted - The 65-year-old episode of the episode has published a report on the important part of the news agency AFP. It is highlighted for the readers of Kaler Kantha-
Not peace, war
Japan surrendered at the end of World War II. Until then, the Korean peninsula was in possession and rule. After Japan surrendered in World War I, the US and the Soviet Union of that time decided to split the Korean Peninsula. Then in June 1950, Socialist North Korea launched a campaign in South Korea. Millions of people died in that war. China has supported Pyongyang (North Korean capital) in the war for three years. On the other hand, US support was in South Korea. Then in 1953, with the 'nominal' peace treaty, the two Koreans were separated, but the war-torn attitudes were among them.
Assassin's 'culture'
In 1968, North Korea sent 31 commandos as an assassin to kill the president of the South Korean President Park Chung-hie. But without the two, they all killed South Korea. Then in 1976, two US army officers were killed in a North Korean army attack on the border between Korea and South Korea.
North Korea launched the most terrible assault in 1983. At that time, the then South President Chun-Du-Hauan There were 21 people killed in North Korean bombings, but survived by two-hawn.
Four years later, 115 people were killed in a bomb blast on a Korean air flight. Seoul complained, Pyongyang carried out the attack. But Pyongyang never admitted it. Last year, in a secret operation, North Korea sent a submarine at Gangnian port in South Korea. But 24 people of the submarine were killed when the matter was found.
Light of hope
Kim Dae-Jung, known as South Korean's first liberal president, formulated a new policy in 2000. In the light of the principle of 'Sunshine', the first conference was held in Korea in 2000. And this achievement brings justice to Junk, the Peace Nobel Prize.
Then, for the sake of that policy, the 'Qaysoon' industrial city was developed. North Korean workers get the opportunity to work in South Korean companies there. Unity is seen in tourism sector; But in 2007, the situation went bad again. Because Leoong-Bak, hardliner, took the power of the president in the south. On the other hand, North Korea conducted nuclear tests for the first time.
Continued nuclear program
North Korea's nuclear weapons and intercontinental missile programs are going on full swing North Korea handles a missile that can hit the US soil, which is possible. On the other hand, as a response to this program, the United States, European Union and South Korea were imposing strict sanctions on North Korea. 'Qaysoon' art city closed in 2016
Olympics of Peace
In this situation, the 'pacifist' Moon Zay-in was elected the South Korean president. After coming to power, South Korea got the chance to organize the Winter Olympics. Moon Zay-in basically use this Olympic Games as a 'window' for the restoration of communication between Korea. North Korea participated in the Olympics. Then the North Korean delegation went to Pyongyang and met North Korean leader Kim Jong Unn. Kim invited the delegation to meet US President Donald Trump. Trump accepts that invitation. The meeting will be held between them within the next few weeks.
Good post with a lot of history. Sad, but hopefully it will all come to an end soon. But we still have to remember, the north is still run by an evil dictator.
Just watched in the news that they leaders of North and South Korea met..
They looked happy and some people are optimistic, the others are not.
The cooperation between the north and the south is unreal. as I watched it on the news in awe, there is a huge change brewing on the horizon, diplomacy should not be rushed on both sides, if peace is the goal then patience should also be practised.
