Mobileye, a subsidiary of Intel, announced in Las Vegas that robotics will soon be a reality, after the advanced tests done with autonomous vehicles.
The test phase of this year's project will be in three cities, Paris, Tel Aviv (Israel) and Daegu City (South Korea) and, according to the company's CEO, autonomous driverless taxis can be operational in 2025 .
Mobileye's technology is based on a dozen computerized cameras that collect information about everything around the vehicle.
Only one non-serious driving error was detected during the accumulated tests of 10 million driving hours, which would mean driving 2 hours a day for 10 years.
It is certainly incredible the speed at which everything evolves.
