Indian Railways Launched Solar Power Train In New Delhi.
Indian Railways Has Launched the Nations First Solar Powered Local Train at The Safdarjung Railway Station In New Delhi. Union Minister Of Railway Mr Suresh Prabhu inaugurated the Train.
This Is Very Special Initiative to Make Indian Railways Environmental Friendly .
The Indian Railways was to decrease Carbon Foot Print and One Step Ahead of Using Green Energy for its Railways.
This Train Has a Battery Bank facilities to ensure sufficient Power when there is No Sunlight. The Solar power Utilise Rail engines and all its Coaches, including lights, fan and information display system.
The Solar Panel are Fitted on Top of the All Train Coaches to generate solar Energy.
This Diesel Electric Multiple Unit Train( DEMU) are local trains and is powered up by on board Engines without the need for a seperates locomotive. The power needs for passengers are met through a diesel Driven generator, for light, fans and etc.
The Indian Railways very soon will Adopt other Environmental Friendly Measures like Use Of recycling Water, and Bio toilet, Waste Disposal, CNG/LNG, as well as Use Of Wind Energy.
This Solar Train was Manufactured at the Integrated Coach Factory In Chennai( ICF) the Solar Power system and solar panels were developed by the Indian Railways Organisation Of Alternative Fuel(IROAF).
Indian Railways are trying to make 24 more coaches fiited with Solar Power Panel within 6 th month.
The Smart Power Generation System with Battery Back Up will ensures sufficient Power during Night Time.
This New System Will Cut down CO2 generation by 9 Tonnes per Coach Per Year.The Indian Railways is telling that this will Save 21000Liters Diesel and 12 Lakh Rs per year For Using Solar Powered Six CoachesDEMU Train.
This Is Very Positive Step that Indian Government will taken to use Renewable Energy Attracted Economy and its transforming India to A New Strong Economy
Power very Soon.
This Will Increase India's Position on Renewable Energy County Attractiveness Index 2017 Which Organised by Two global Firm Ernst and Young Globally.
