Football Player In Turkey Hired & Paid Via Bitcoins
Harunustaspor, a Turkish football team, announced on 30th January that they have signed a player and partially paid him in Bitcoins(BTC).
Haldun Şehit , the chairman of the club, announced that Omar Faruq(pronouced Faruk), a 22 year old football player has been hired and has been paid 2500 Lira in fiat/cash and 2000 Lira worth of Bitcoins and they are PROUD of it.
The move surely reminds us of of how Bitcoin Suisse paid the whole 3 years sponsorship exclusively in Bitcoins to the Denmark club Rungsted Sieir Capital's player.
This move surely made headlines and the chairman, Haldun Şehit, agrees that it was intentional and they did it to publicize their name not only in the whole country, but the whole world.
