NiceHash resumed its work after hacking, but money has not yet been returned to users
In early December, the service of conscientious mining Nicehash was cracked by hackers, as a result of which users were stolen from accounts of users in bitcoins for a total of $ 60 million (at the rate at that time). Soon after, the owner of NiceHash announced his intention to resume the service and return users stolen funds. And now, today the service really returned to working mode. A corresponding statement was made on the page Nicehash in the social network Facebook.
Meanwhile, the administration of the service does not hurry to share details about the progress of the investigation and does not say what improvements have been implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future. The meager message contains only a list of recommendations designed to increase the security of user interaction with the service. Among them, set a new password, install two-factor authentication, use the new NiceHash-purse address (and do not forget to change it in the settings of the application for mining). Also, the message calls for the miners to be patient, as customers are just beginning to place orders for the purchase of computing power. Later, an additional message appeared, which referred to the identification of problems with email addresses of users. The service team is working on fixing the failure.
However, neither in the entries on the Facebook page, nor on the pages of NiceHash itself does not have a single word about the return of money lost by users. In the comments on Facebook, users indicate that after resuming access to the office they see zero balances on old purses of funds depositing. Information about account balances before hacking and theft of funds is not displayed. In response, the service representatives are again reminded of hacking and say that in the new users cabinet the administration was trying to display both the new and the old balance. But, apparently, something went wrong, and the old balance is not displayed to users.
The comments also explain that the administration of NiceHash was able to reserve from the group of international investors the amount of funds necessary to restore the zeroed balances of users. The exact date of recovery of funds on old balances will be announced by December 31, 2018. Additional time is needed to ensure the correct processing of all legal documents. This information would be logical to place on the main page of the service, but it is not there.

- Nicehash is not a crypt exchange or a pool for mining. Rather, it can be called a joint mining service. Some users are ready to put into use the available hardware resources. Another part of users is ready to lease these capacities for the needs of own mining. Nicehash acts as an intermediary between buyers and sellers of computing power.

At least there is some hope to get the lost money back.
Yes it is... But i pass mining for them more
Is there still any doubt these guys stole this themselves ?
they have a good reputation and work since 2014 ... they attracted the police to this caise... most likely they were robbed by hackers
Yeah but how hard would it be for them to hide the trails?
And how much were they making? Maybe the sight of 5000 BTC was just too much to handle.
Who know for shore... I personaly dont worry much, bikos dont save in NH much...
