Officer Involved in Shooting Is getting the Justice He Deserves

in #news8 years ago

On June 22, 2016   Officer James Burns  of Midtown shot and killed a man in a passing vehicle. One of Burns co-workers radioed in for backup and Burns responded. However Burns was standing at the rear end of his patrol car when Devaris Caine Rogers was just passing by in his car. Officer Burns shot through the window of Roger's car killing him. As stated on, http://www.11alive.com/news/local/da-officer-involved-in-fatal-midtown-shooting-faces-murder-charges/274709357, " The district attorney's office said that despite the fact that the vehicle made no attempt to strike Burns and the fact that he was standing safely at the rear of his own patrol car, he fired into the passenger window of the passing car killing Rogers."

Cops are not above the law, they said that Officer Burns will be treated like any other murder case,  arrest, indictment and resolution. Justice will be served whether or not the suspected is a cop, black man, white man, any other gender or race. So my main message for this post is that cops do protect us from many situations, BUT THEY ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW IN ANY MEANS.
