The War on Consciousness (A practical guide to thinking for yourself)
Do We Really Think For Ourselves:
Well, let me ask you this, when is the last time you went to the bathroom without your smart-phone? The answer is probably never. You check your social media feeds and time-lines. These social media platforms control the narrative of its communities and members. You interact with what's trending on Twitter, Facebook, etc. The information polarizes you— makes you angry, happy or sad. You begin to believe the snapshots or Snapchats that are presented to you. The problem with this: you are only presented with ONE SIDE of a viewpoint. There are multiple sides to everything.
The BIG LIE:
There is a humongous lie that all of the owners of media companies want you to believe: That the world is only subjective. We have been brainwashed to believe that when there is an issue, there are only those who are right or wrong.
The TRUTH:
The truth is that there are three sides to everything: Those who believe they are right or wrong, and those who are impartial. The ability to understand the two sides of any issue— is the ability to be impartial. Knowing this truth will solve all conflicts and create a better world for everyone to co-exist in harmony together. We need to replace the two-sided polarizing dogma, and we need to adopt three-sided conscious understanding if we want to think for ourselves again.
$ Moral of the post $
Reclaim your mind and overcome brainwashing by realizing there are three sides to everything.
Interesting thoughts. Could you explain how impartiality supplies a resolution to conflict?
It is a very necessary thing when judging facts, but by itself solves nothing. It implies no action, only consideration. How do you suppose those who can impartially (aka objectively) consider facts deal with those who can't? That seems to be the biggest problem. There are always those who are actually right - but it is convincing those who aren't right to take the correct actions that is difficult.
Additionally, some of us use our toilet time and our smartphones to learn new things. A few of us remember to think before we act.
First of all, thanks for the comment, and you are so right when you say "A few of us remember to think before we act".
We just have a misunderstanding. No big deal. This post is only about a mindset shift that allows for greater and more significant action to be taken in life.
Impartiality is just the means and not an end in itself. The principle of looking at both sides impartially is the container we need to use when interacting with the world. My post is just about creating this container of (impartiality), and using it as a tool to navigate your reality.
We both completely agree though, that action is everything. If two groups of people consistently had, on both sides of their communities, a majority of people who adopt the philosophy of interpreting their beliefs as a filter of understanding reality, then action must take place through communication, through non-violent dialogue and not through violence (which I understand is very popular in the world right now).
I'll definitely try to explain myself in a better context next time, and should have added a section on Action. But it would have taken up way too much space in this post.
Thanks again for being skeptical, and testing this viewpoint with hard questions, because that is how we all grow to understand each other.
I appreciate your openness to constructive criticism and questions - you should know i think you did a good job communicating in your original post, and if you try to delimit your argument more (or state that you'll flesh out a specific aspect more in the future) you can help your audience focus more on the specific message you're trying to send.
You get a follow for handling yourself like a rational adult!
