How much did the military spend yesterday? $5.3 billion
Sorry for the interruption... was out with an illness for a few days. Anyway, Friday's big winner was Boeing with a $4 billion contract modification (increase) with the Missile Defense Agency. This is a higher number for them than usual, but remember that Boeing is on the defense contract list extremely often. The work associated with Friday's modification involves the Ground-based Midcourse Defense Development and Sustainment Contract and brings the original contract's value to $10.8 billion. (This doesn't include Boeing's three other contract awards on Friday for lesser amounts.)
