Nigerian army fails to attack Boko Haram in Maduguri

Army and militia sources reported this information. They told that the jihadists who had boarded many pickup trucks in a military checkpoint located in the Moli area of the city at around 30 minutes last evening, indiscriminate firing.
The troops responded. The firing lasted for more than an hour on both sides. A senior military official in Maduguri told that the terrorists came riding in several pick-up trucks and they got an encounter with the army in the maulai.
The army pushed them back when they got air support. On condition of anonymity, the army official said that it is clear that they wanted to capture the check post and enter the city for the devastation.
