In my 9 years of actively following politics I’ve come to the realization that the Republicans and Democrats are one in the same when it comes to spending. It’s going to take a catastrophic event to get our national debt in order.
The only way to change it is to get rid of swamp monsters like these either in the primaries or elections. If their colleagues see voting for wasteful spending comes at a personal cost to their ambitions - then they might vote differently.
I know - I am a glass half full sort of guy.
