Crypto News - Crypto.com allows users to buy cryptocurrencies through Google Pay
Crypto.com has launched a new feature allowing them to buy cryptocurrencies through their Android phones, tablets, and other mobile devices using Google Play. The initiative plans to make it more convenient for people to buy cryptocurrency easily and conveniently.
Crypto.com launches an in-app Google Pay purchase feature
Based in North America, Crypto.com is a well-known cryptocurrency exchange. If customers have already connected their debit or credit card to Google Pay, they can use the new in-app Google Pay purchase functionality that the exchange now offers.
Additionally, users of the Crypto.com app can purchase any of the over 250 cryptocurrencies listed there. Users who want to use the function must click the "Trade" icon on the app's home page. They can then choose the cryptocurrency they want to use by clicking the "Buy" icon.
Once the "Cash" icon appears, a user can select "Buy" to use the "Google Pay" service. The user must next check the box to accept the processing costs for the card. Once that is done, they can select "Continue" and then "Confirm" .
After the user completes the purchase process, the balance will be updated within the user’s wallet. They can also view the transaction history within the Crypto.com application. In May this year, Crypto.com expanded Crypto.com Pay to Shopify merchants, allowing customers to purchase products using more than 20 digital assets.
The cryptocurrency exchange also offers a Visa card that offers cash back through Cronos (CRO). CRO is the native token for Crypto.com. CRO has not been performing well this year, dropping by around 15% in May.
Google Pay’s growing use in crypto
When looking for a simple way to purchase cryptocurrency, Google Pay has emerged as one of the most popular features. Google and Bakkt, a marketplace for digital assets, joined in October of last year to allow customers to support the Bakkt Visa Debit Card within Google Pay.
Through this agreement, cardholders were able to utilize Google Pay to purchase assets using cryptocurrencies at a business that accepts Visa cards. Gavin Michael, the CEO of Bakkt, stated at the time of the cooperation that it showed how seriously Bakkt was taking its position in the digital assets market. Customers will be able to access digital assets through a world-class innovation platform in real-time, reliably, and securely as a result of the change.
