Hey Steemit, have you ever been shocked by YOUR OWN lies?

in #news7 years ago

That's what US Ambassador to the Netherlands Pete Hoekstra claimed in his recent "apology" over the lies that there are no go zones in the Netherlands and that politicians are burned alive there. Check out this clip and leave your thoughts...

One wonders how Pete Hoekstra got the job of ambassador in the first place. This video was quite a display of incompetency and ignorance on his part.

It's yet one more reason to vote the repubs out of power. In reality, they're a minority party that wouldn't exist without (A) the electoral "college" and (B) uneducated jackasses in the fly-over states.

I think his qualifications were that he is a Republican and was born in the Netherlands.

@davidpakman: Is there a reason you don't upvote your commenters or engage them more? You do great work and this could help increase your reputation even more. You do a great job with your program but seem to be catering to the Steem Power audience and not the minnows interacting with you on the comment boards.

I am making an effort to get into the comments multiple times per day to engage. I will continue to make an effort to do a better job of it.

Thanks for your reply and upvote. Looking forward to more of your work.

Nice to hear that, keep doing the great work.

Have a great day and stay blessed.

The reports shouting "this is not how it works" totally befuddled him. The look on his face showed that he really thought that using the same political misdirection that works with American reporters would perform the same with Dutch reporters. SAD.

haha yeah, totally different ball game there

well, when the president doesn't have to be presidential, why should the diplomats be diplomatic.

I have actually been shocked by my own lies before, but a considerable amount of cannabis was involved. This gentleman is from the Netherlands originally, so I'll just assume he was high. Now it all makes sense and I feel better.

I'm guessing he was listening to one of the Alex Jones types that spews this nonsense.

Some people are unbelievable...

I felt it was a really excellent point to make that American reporters should band together to ensure they can all do their jobs properly, and not be bullied by some government 'power'.

If one person's question isn't answered, everyone should work together to make sure it is answered before another question is asked. Holding a politician's back against the wall so they cannot squirm is key to them keeping to their promises and statements.

I am very interested in his post, successful greeting
