Boy, my internet sure has been sucking today - hmmmm I wonder why. :)
Well, I seem to be in the area of today's apparent "cyberattack" as reported by many reports has been effective.
I have this nostalgic feeling of watching WarGames as a kid for some reason...
I first realized my twitter couldn't work, today. Then I went to play some stuff on Sound Cloud while working on my #steemit blog.
Then I read "Major internet problems reported after cyberattack " which reads:
A massive cyberattack hindered access to many major websites across the internet on Friday.
On Friday morning, Dyn — a company that hosts domain name systems — announced it has been the subject of a cyberattack that caused major problems for numerous websites. People reported issues with Twitter, Spotify, SoundCloud, Vox Media sites, Airbnb and numerous other sites.

I'm very happy to say that Steemit was working fine all day. :) Surprisingly, my own site Daily Bitcoin News was also working fine. :).

the main fear response to the cyber attack involved corporations losing money. Well, that's not my concern. So much of our daily life from health care to emergency services of every kind depend on computers. It's a scary prospect and could end up in a nightmare future where cities are paralyzed. War Games is one scenario, mass chaos is another. Can block chains provide an answer?
It hard to tell who was the actually cause on the internet blackout. Would like to the that it has it's intentions against the bank but it's really hard to know that for sure.
