6.5 Richter earthquake hit China
There are at least 13 deaths and 175 people injured.
The Chinese province of Sichuan (southwest) was shaken Tuesday by a magnitude 6.5 earthquake, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The Chinese government said in a statement that it feared that there were around 100 people dead and thousands injured, triggering an emergency operation in the affected area, according to El País. Closing the day, the authorities reported that there are at least 13 people dead and 175 injured, 28 of them seriously.
In addition, according to an official preliminary analysis, more than 130,000 houses may be damaged.
The telluric movement occurred around 21:20 local time, at a depth of 20 kilometers. The epicenter has been located 36 kilometers from the city of Yongle, in the north of the region, and 287 kilometers from the capital, Chengdu.

This is no fun at all, I still remember the big earthquake we had in the Seattle area in 2000 or 2001. Feeling the building sway is by design but some scary ass shit!
