Blockchain & Bourbon is a weekly livestream covering the latest and greatest in the world of cryptocurrency - hosted by the makers of The Creative Crypto Magazine.

Beginning the Broadcast

This past Sunday, our team at the @creativecrypto streamed the first full production of Blockchain & Bourbon with producer David Abelson, founder of Mob Rule News in New York City. We published the first pre-recorded version in the series last month to great reception and by teaming up with David, we’re looking to make this a top-notch production for the Steemit audience and beyond.

The ambition of this video series is to provide a higher-production broadcast that deals with all aspects of cryptocurrency that is accessible for various levels of blockchain experience. Particularly, our discussions will highlight access points for creative, artistic and entrepreneurial professionals. We want Blockchain & Bourbon to be more casual while still informative on the diverse aspects of the industry, all without the unnecessary shilling, financial analysis, or anything that causes gratuitous hype and misinformation. We’re more interested in the creative projects, characters, and stories that are emerging.

Each episode will be structured with either a roster of recent events, topics, prospects or companies in the blockchain world. We'll also be introducing interviews with various industry leaders in the crypto-space.

Blockchain & Bourbon Schedule

The current schedule for Blockchain & Bourbon will be Fridays at 4:00pm EST. Our next live broadcast will be Friday April 20th at 4:00pm EST. We’ll do simultaneous livestreams on our Facebook Page for The Creative Crypto, through DLive on @sndbox, and our Rize account @sndbox. The Rize app is only available on smartphones and is the first beta application for Younow and their new blockchain project PROPS. For our monthly full-production interviews, we’ll announce a specific time and location beforehand.

You can watch the full uncut broadcast here on our Facebook page. This is the full unedited stream and we will release a polished version within a few days. Any and all feedback, criticism, suggestions, and ideas are more than welcome as we develop material for future episodes.

We're looking forward to regular Blockchain and Bourbon to get our crypto news fix as we do not get too obsorbed in the crypto world daily (only a quick look at the markets) - it could give us heart issues early in life 😉😜
We missed the one on the 8th, so we would need to have a look at that 😊

Thanks for comming in my blog brother @creativecrypto

I'm a bit in two minds about this article - it's very nicely arranged with beautiful illustrations and everything but mainly it herds people ... away from Steemit and ... onto Facebook ??? WT ... ? If I wanted to go back to FB I would be back on FB, not here ... there was no better place to host this than FB ?

Hi @sorin.cristescu, we completely understand your concern. We are absolutely not trying to divide up our audience or send mixed signals. Part of our original mission for the @creativecrypto is to act as an outpost that provides top-notch resources and content in order to attract other professionals and social-media users into Steemit and its various applications. Facebook remains one of the best tools to support outreach from Steemit to bring more users in. We will definitely be using multiple other decentralized tools like @dlive at the same time to make sure we can best bridge our audiences.

We also don't have much fear that people will leave Steemit for Facebook once they are here :)

You're missing the whole point; they are streaming it on DLive, Rize, and Facebook at the same time, you have plenty of options to chose from. This way, since it's on Facebook too, the stream can serve as a method for informing people about the Blockchain and possibly onboarding new users on Steem.

Your reaction is exaggerated since they are not taking it away from this platform and you could've realized that by reading the post more carefully. You don't want to watch it on Facebook? Then watch it on DLive.

I had a second look and I still don't see a link to dlive. All I see in the lower left corner when hovering the mouse above the hyperlinks are facebook links...

Never heard of Rize and anyway it's said that it's only for smartphones and I'm on the desktop ...

So it might be that if I haven't seen anything else but FB, maybe other people could be in the same situation ? Anyway, I'm a bit allergic to fb and in that I might be alone so don't pay attention to me

I can't stand Facebook either, so I understand what you mean. There is a DLive link to the first edition of the series, the second one was hosted only on Facebook since they tried out some features, but the following ones are going to be on all the three platforms mentioned in the post.

Agree with your point of view! A newcomer from China @chinese

I'm a visual artist. can i join sndbox and how ?

Hi @alhidayat, applications for the next incubator cohort will open soon. Stay tuned for more towards the middle of next month. Thanks so much for your interest!

Yeah. yes I always follow sandbox.

steady 👍 very interesting post, I love @creativecrypto

Hello! Thanks for stopping a short while ago. Much obliged.

This sounds like an interesting broadcast! My students brainstormed a new way to use blockchain to incentivize good teaching and learning in a school system. I thought it was very creative. I steamed about it here. Part of it involves paying teachers using upvotes along with salary.

Fantastic, thank you for sharing! :)

That's a very catchy name for the series! I like it!

How can one work with your magazine?

The @creativecrypto website will launch in the next couple of weeks, stay tuned!
