Nice piece, @joshsigurdson. The statement that small businesses are just ways for people to hide their money is an idiotic statement. Small businesses are what people start to support themselves, families, and communities.

Taxes are a necessary evil. They should be used for the common good through providing infrastructure, emergency services, and justice for its citizens. Using demagoguery as a guise to unfairly target one group or another is a despicable, yet effective, means for self-promotion.

The only solace here is that the US isn't the only nation burdened by overzealous politicians with nefarious methods of eliciting support from their constituency. I guess we really are all in this together.
