Spotify Company announced that it had exceeded 140 million active users per month, as declared in the month of March, that has 50 million subscribers pay, which puts the base of users free of about 90 million people.

Figures are really huge, and it shows the progress achieved by the service, as the number of users than Apple's Music service, which recently announced that it has 27 million subscribers. Given the rate of growth of the participants, should not face any problem in the Spotify maintain the initiative as the largest broadcasting music paid service. But while this may be convenient for the latter, currently still Spotify suffers from financial problems to a great extent.

Still Spotify does not have new License Deals With Sony Music, Warner Music, and could not move forward until the end and hold these transactions. Having concluded a new deal with Universal Music, and should allow the conditions to achieve more revenue to move forward. The convening of similar deals with other companies to help Spotify to reduce annual losses.

I just don't get how artists make as much through this as they would itunes or physical media. It seems that music has just become cheapened and the average music listener isn't prepared to pay for anything that isn't dirt cheap. I do use spotify though since I'm a hypocrite.

Yeah, this is totally true
