first post

Hi! To whomever may be reading this, hello :)

I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing here or what you're doing here reading this. I'm writing this with the intention of it going out into a void but also to add to the the blockchain?? Data adds to the chain and a post is data, right? So I'm building the chain?? I've been reading up on steemit and how this all works and I get it but I don't get it, alas here I am writing.

I've always been interested in blogging, but never kept up with it for many of the classic excuses like; I don't have the time, my thoughts aren't concise enough, no person on the internet wants to spend their time reading me ramble on a blog post, etc. I do think it's a great way for me to get my inner thoughts out of my head though - reminds me of tumblr when it was still fun. Reminds me of back in the day when I was an angsty preteen and teenager posting all my sad thoughts from my childhood bedroom to my maybe 200 something followers (who by the way only followed me for my re-shares of trending photos). Plus steemit will give me actual motivation to keep posting whereas tumblr and wordpress were just voids. If only I could figure out how to find more communities, I've browsed the communities tab but it's hard to navigate in my opinion. I hope with daily use I'll get the hang of this social network, from what I'm understanding this seems like the future.

Speaking of the future, I don't know how it's gonna look but I do know if I last long enough I want to be apart of the cool stuff. I missed the bitcoin boat, and I'm swimming behind the TikTok and Meta boat. What even is Meta?? It's virtual Facebook set up like roblox? Why? Do people actually go there? Is it even a place to go?? The world may be burning, cities crowding, and corrupted governments running our nation but I'll be damned if I end up getting old and not understanding the younger generations and what's in.

Anyways, I intend to spill my thoughts on my personal blog here about whatever comes to my mind that day, at least until I understand the communities, challenges, and overall navigation. Hopefully that'll be soon and I can start engaging with my fellow steemers (is that what we call ourselves??). If you are still reading this and care to follow me, I'll be talking about my struggles and successes, hobbies which include cooking and DIY and crafts, life goals and dreams, and the occasional mishap and EMbarrassing moments that make up my life. I hope to make some friends along my way in this journey, but I'm also happy with posting into the void for now. If your space ship happens to cross my post out there in this deep deep galaxy that is the internet then you got to the end of this post, and thank you for reading friend :) this is just my beginning!
