For American journalists, the opportunity to visit the State Duma and the Federation Council is useful, but the deprivation of accreditation will be uncritical, according to current and former employees of Western media interviewed by RIA Novosti.

On Friday it became known that the Russian parliament could ban entry to all American media. This will be a response to the US decision to deprive journalists of RT accreditation in the US Congress.

In total, according to the information provided on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry, 21 mass media outlets from the United States are accredited in Russia. Among them are agencies Bloomberg, Associated Press and Platts, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Times, the Christian Science Monitor.

From American TV channels attached to the Russian Foreign Ministry are accredited by CNN, CBS, ABC, HBO, from radio stations - Voice of America, Radio Liberty, National Public Radio. Accreditation in Russia also has American magazines Newsweek, Atlantic, Hollywood Reporter, Orthodox Word, Road To Emmaus, photo agency VII Photo Agency.

Accreditation in the State Duma is useful for work, denial of access to the lower house of the Russian parliament will create inconvenience, said RIA Novosti director of the Washington Post in Russia David Filipov.
