What does friedship mean to you?

     It is Wednesday night and I just finished talking over the phone to my high school friend. I never considered her to be my close friend. She is a good friend though. 

     She called earlier, but I could not answer the phone, because I had been talking  to my partner´s ex wife who was visiting us. She came over for a visit after her vacation in Greece. We talked, we laughed and the room was filled with love. She was talking about Greece, about the time she spent with her partner and their son. I made a Mohito and I used the white rum that she had brought with her. We sat on our couch and we drunk and talked and had very good time. My boyfriend, father of my two beautiful girls and her ex husband has joined us little bit later. 

     When she left several hours later, I told my boyfriend this: "You know, I am convinced that the reason I was supposed to meet you was actually to meet your ex wife". He was surprised. But this is exactly what I have been feeling for last couple of years . I LOVE  his ex wife. My two little girls love her too. My partner used to LOVE her as well. And I am much better person to have her in my life. She taught me, that the past is not important at all. What is most important is the present moment. 

     And this is what the friendship means to me. Remember, just enjoy the time you have with people you love. Their past as well as your past is not important at all.  Enjoy the present moment and be very grateful for the moments your friends want to spend with you...
