Neurophysiological functions
The basic assumption of NMT is that the human brain is the organ that mediates all emotional, behavioral, social, motor and neurophysiological functions. Therefore, therapeutic interventions aim to change a person by altering the emotional, behavioral, social, motor and neurophysiological functions in the person's brain.

And the fundamental question is that the therapeutic experience responds to the traumatic experience of the brain through the jumper effect. Let us consider the model through an example and consider a child with a traumatic experience. And whether this child is exposed to bullying in school life.
This child will have a highly sensitive alarm response which overtly sensitizes and verbalizes verbal and non-verbal cues over time. This will cause a physiologically insistent alarm even in an environment without any threat.

This situation can be explained by the fact that traumatized children can reset their arousal status. Finally, NMT has been actively used in children who have experienced trauma for the last ten years and the number of studies supporting the model is increasing day by day.
