Neko Atsume: How to get over 5 cats in your yard at a time without the yard expansion
Using certain items will create new space for cats that exceeds the space maximum of 5 to 8!
More available spots for cats = more cats = more fish $$$
THE CAT CONDO COMPLEX
For 500 silver fish, The "Cat Condo Complex" can hold up to 5 cats while occupying 2 spaces in the yard. With the "Cat Condo's Complex's" ability to hold 5 cats + the 3 remaining cat spot: this increases the yard's capacity to 8!!
These goodies differ from standard L large goodies which hold two cats. This is because they take up two cat spaces and can hold two cats. This doesn't increase or decrease the number of cat spaces in the 5 cats only space yard. This is where the "Cat Condo Complex" differs.
I snapped a screenshot when there were 6 cats in my yard at one time. I've also kept an eye on the "Cat Condo Complex" and it has had cat occupy 5 different spots.
For people who haven't played Neko Atsume, wikipedia can fill us in quickly:
Gameplay revolves around the player purchasing food, toys, and furniture to attract a variety of cats to the player's home. The player can watch cats interact with objects, take photos of them which can be saved in an album, and receive gifts of fish. Cats will leave the player either silver or gold "fish" after leaving the garden.
It sounds simple right? But it's super addictive. The power of cats and the internet! This game has been dominating app downloads.
I know I'm a bit behind with the Neko Atsume craze. I have some questions to below to any other users who have experienced some of the things below.
Questions:
What other items can hold more cats then space they occupy? I presume the "Cat Metropolis" and the "Athletic Cat Gym" can also hold 5 cats. Can anyone confirm?
I'm currently saving up for the yard expansion. In the yard expansion, with items like "Cat Condo Complex" how many cat spaces can you create?
Do these items or "goodies" that have increase cat space, decrease the amount of fish left as gifts.
^Question 3 just came to mind because this hack seems too good to be true. And I haven't kept a detailed record of the amount of fish left by cats using the "Cat Condo Complex", BUT at a glance they seem lower.)
P.S Ramses the Great turned up when I put out the "Tent (Pyramid)". Him and Tubbs are the only rare cats I've seen so far. What other rare cats have people seen? Collecting Neko Atsume cats is basically like buying cryptokitties or playing pokemon right? I jest. I jest.
