twisted views on knitted patterns
Plait pattern with a twist.
This is my first posting for needleworkmonday and I am very excited about it. I am still learning a lot on steemit so I hope that everything is correct what I am doing here. I am very open to suggestions about topic as I have more then 10 years professional experiences in knitewear specially handknitting design. I am also not so sure if it is good to post bilingual and happy about any feedback.
In this posting I would like to show you a totally different approach to patterns.
When I was designing this pullover I was thinking of twisting the pattern in a totally different direction
starting point
I am totally in love with structured knitwearpatterns and decided to do a little tryout. 3 very long plait patterns (5cm width) where draped on the mannequin. Every single curve was stitched together by hand with a needle.
This is the result

Zopf einmal Anders

Happy neeleworkmonday

Hello @shakkei! Welcome to #NeedleWorkMonday! Every Monday us needleworkers get together to share our work, ideas, patterns, tips and inspirations. One of our goals is to inspire the Steemit blockchain to give needle art a try. We encourage support of one another’s work and efforts.
On Monday’s we use the #needleworkmonday tag and on all other days we use the #needlework tag. As long as your posts are involving needlework you are welcome to use these tags :)
The majority of the @needleworkmonday community are English speaking but we encourage writing in two languages if you want to reach a larger audience and share in your own language.
These designs are absolutely beautiful! Are you the owner of the Shakkei site? I assume you are but figured I’d ask to be sure. Are all of those your designs? Thank you for sharing the link. We also encourage sharing the process of our work through photos when possible to take us along the journey with you.
It is always good to source photos (if they belong to someone else) and links (to give credits). If all of the photos and links belong to you, you could make a statement at the end of your posts stating something along the lines of...
Plagiarism and copyright issues have been a big thing on Steemit to regulate. So if you let us know right off what belongs to you and source the things that don’t you will save yourself a lot of time and headache ;)
I am really looking forward to seeing more of your work. If you have any questions please reach out and ask. I initiated this community but all of the members are so helpful and loving and want to see each other do well. I’m sure you already got that feeling by the responses and welcome you have already received.
To learn more about what we do please visit our Introduction Post. Also please stay tuned for our FAQ post coming soon. Please give @needleworkmonday a follow to stay up on the latest.
Again, welcome!

You are very welcome :)
That’s awesome! I really love your designs! It’s an honor having you join us! Showing the process of your work is only and encouragement and not required. I understand you have a business and may not be able to share the process. But whenever you desire to that would be wonderful and I’m sure very inspiring for the whole community :D
I am a seasoned crocheter but am currently interested in learning how to knit and am learning how to sew. My mother has been a seamstress for over 30 years and she is now teaching my eight year old daughter and I how to sew. I hope to one day create amazing designs such as you have ;)

Welcome to steemit and needleworkmonday. Yes, you are doing great. Just don't forget to always indicate sources for your photos/inspirations on your posts and you'll be fine. And yep, it's cool to post bilingual. :)
Looking forward to more projects from you.

To be honest, I've been on the platform this long but I still have trouble finding tags formy own posts. LOL. But for the benefit of answering your question, maybe you could add #art? or #ocd-resteem maybe. I know you'll find so much more tags as you roam around. Feel free to check out other posts that might interest you. You may find tags that you can use on your posts. Sorry, not much of help in this area. LOL
thats a very big help! thank you what does ocd-resteem stands for

I Looooove the design! It is wearable and artful at the same time. The texture of the entwined cables is amazing. Want to follow the cables and find their beginning:-D
So, welcome to #needleworkmonday

There are no real rules for needleworkmonday... maybe some agreements. I think @crosheille wrote a wonderful introductory post, I only have to find it. But you can read also more about the needlework community on @needleworkmonday. We are also on discord for even more yarn, fabric and fun :-D The invitation for the discord server is the needlworkmonday logo at the end of the communal posts.
And with the progress photos: it is no ‚must‘ But I think it’s much more helpful and interesting to see how such beautiful designs as yours are made.
You asked in a comment above about ocd-resteem: they curate outstanding posts and share them with a big and influential audience so that the post gets more votes :-)
thank you so much! I am so happy to be here and have such great supportive readers that help me so much like you . thank you
Thanks @neumannsalva! There are guidelines we wish for everyone to observe and follow and those will be better outlined soon in the FAQ post coming soon ;)
Oh nooooo ... I was too fast with my answer. Sorry for causing a misunderstanding. @muscara already wrote me, that you are working on a framework of rules.
No worries at all sweet friend ;D
@muscara, @shanibeer and I have been working behind the scenes to better highlight the goals, guidelines and how to keep our community running smoothly. Hopefully this will answers those questions that are floating out there. 😘
