Congratulations @neumannsalva 👍 My first pair looked the same as yours (only red) and made me so happy to accomplish, it’s a great feeling. Did you use the kitchner stitch to close the toes?
The 8” circular needles can be great for moving quickly down the ankle, but when i tried them, i found it easier to cast on with the dpns and transfer to the circular.
This was my third pair. Keep on knitting!!! 🧶 🧡
Thank youuuuu. So lovely your socks!!!! The colors are so uplifting (and very neat knitting) <3

I closed the socks by sewing the last 8 stitches together, it is called Maschenstich in German... ok, I research while writing and I have read it is kitchner stitch in English :-DDD
But i find my socks too pointy, not sure if i did something wrong or if I schould block them to get a better fit? If I am honest the heel of my new socks looks also a bit strange (too square)
Thank you for showing your progress! Yay!
I never got around to learning the other heel method, (short row heel) but have a bunch of patterns for it. I also kept wanting to learn to knit toe up so i would be able to keep stitching up the leg around and around. Tee hee. Time just slips away so quickly.
As long as the socks are comfy and fit well, they’ll be wonderful. I have a pair that turned out one wider than the other. I still wear them around the house because they are super soft. 🧶💗
