Yay it’s finally Monday!! A day where we come together to share our crafty creations! Welcome to #NeedleworkMonday! Who all is welcome to share you ask? The following is a list of the needle arts. If you do any of these crafts we would love to have you join us on Monday’s:

• crochet work
• knitting
• needle felting
• embroidery work
• string art
• appliqué
• cross stitch
• needle lace
• ribbon work
• tatting work
• textile arts and crafts
• crewel work
• costume artist
• Any art/craft involving a Needle

I started this initiative so our handmade creations can have a place of their own. These crafts take valuable time and effort and deserve to be shared with and seen by the Steemit community. This is a place where we can come together to share our passions for the needle arts and support one another, encourage each other and inspire others. Here you will learn tips, tricks, shortcuts, find awesome patterns that others have used and techniques. Your handi work will gain more visibility in this supportive community as #NeedleworkMonday grows and continues to gain popularity here on the Steemit blockchain!

I do appreciate all of you that go through the posts every week to Upvote, Comment and even Resteem! However @crystalize (our #NeedleworkMonday initiative co-chair) and I have noticed many of you post but never take the time to support and encourage others. This has to be a community effort where we are ALL making the effort to uplift each other. We are asking that everyone please take the time to read other #NeedleworkMonday posts and Upvote and Comment on their work. We all know how Wonderful valuable feedback and encouragement feels so let’s hand it out to others. We’re not saying you have to do this with every post as we are growing rapidly and there are many now, but please consider doing this for at least a few of the posts every week.

@crystalize and myself work hard every week to read through every post that has been posted with our tag to Upvote and Comment. We both even Resteem quite a few of your posts. I didn’t start this initiative off by requiring “You have to upvote and resteem each of my posts to join.” I don’t believe in doing that. I want you to curate what you love and those posts that inspire you, intrigue you or give you some new ideas. Would I like to see more of our posts supported and Resteemed? Absolutely I would! We are advertising this weekly initiative as a supportive group. So let’s show each other and this community just how supportive we really can be :) The more we support each other the more our group will grow and gain recognition! Also the more we are using the #NeedleworkMonday tag the more closer to a Trending tag it will be! This is our community, if you have any suggestions on this topic and how it can be improved in any way please leave a comment below :) Thank you so much for your attention to this~

I also want to thank you all for giving me a mention in your posts every week! You have shared your gratitude and appreciation for me bringing this crafting community together and that means a Great deal to me! So thank you for the recognition and appreciation. I am so glad that each of you are here sharing your talent and enjoying yourselves!! 😘

IMPORTANT REMINDER: ‘Project NICU Warmth’

Next week on Monday February 29th we will share the hats we have made for our community project. Please make a post using our tag and share some pictures of your work. Please share with us how you felt doing this project and if you enjoyed it. Also if it interested you to continue donating to the NICU on your spare time I would love to know that as well :) Here is the link to all of the info for our project. ‘Project NICU Warmth’~

Thanks again for your attention to this post! I will be announcing our community project for February next week. If you need to speak to myself or @crystalize personally you can reach us both on Steem Chat. Have a crafty day my friends!! ❤️

This is such a great reminder, @crosheille, about showing love and support for our wonderful community! I'm so thankful for the engagement and participation, and I hope all the participants look forward to Mondays as much as I do, as an opportunity to both receive and GIVE support. <3

Thank you so much @crystalize! That’s exactly it! It’s important that as we receive support and great feedback to give back as well~ 😊

I just pulled up all the posts from this week so I could read through them. :) Timely post from you. :) Now I need to get reading...

That’s awesome @apanamamama! I appreciate all of the support and love you give others! ☺️

There were lots of great posts this week. I checked all of them out. The little felt creatures were pretty cool. :)

I know! There are more and more posts to check each week, I’m really excited about us growing. Yes those felt creatures were really neat!!! I like the different varieties of crafts we see being posted now :)

Hello @crosheille. There's a lot to learn and I'm relatively new - in fact, I'm still trying to work out how to do the introduction post - so I appreciate this post and I apologise in case I've missed any of the protocol...
I have found great people and great posts @needleworkmonday. I try to comment and I wish I had more power to steem people more.
On a personal level, I have enjoyed thinking of what to post and then doing so... It is so encouraging to have this 'show and tell' initiative... Thank you.

Thank you so much for commenting and giving feedback @cryptocariad! I really appreciate you jumping right in and giving support.

I definitely understand about being new and still learning the ropes . There is quite a learning curve here. What really helped me was taking time to mingle and give positive feedback which in return allowed me to have valuable relationships. It’s really hard to do well here if you don’t take the time to make friends with others. Even if you can’t upvote many, just taking time to leave valuable feedback is just as great! It’s all about uplifting and encouraging one another.

I think you’ll do just fine here ;). I am so glad you are enjoying this initiative and receiving encouragement, that makes me so happy :D So glad to have you with us~

Thank you @crosheille. You are very kind... I always welcome mentoring - essential / truly important in a world wide platform !

My pleasure!! ☺️

We appreciate you! Thanks for the reminder to support each other. We are all busy people, but we have the time to show some love to our fellow crafter/steemians.

Thank you so much @redbone! I appreciate you being here! Yes we all have busy schedules. Even making a goal to say “okay today I will upvote this many and comment on this many” will at least give you something to work towards. It’s so important that we give support back to encourage people to stick around and keep sharing~ 😊

Yes you are so right! The initiative is nothing without people participating (posting, commenting and upvoting) And while reading this post I noticed, I never post on mondays... I just used the tag #needleworkmonday ... sigh, I blame the language or maybe I am just ähhh stupid.
So with best intentions I resteem this and I try to be more attentive. Thank you for your work!

Really? I thought you did post on Monday’s sometimes. I tell everyone that you definitely get more visibility and support from our group when you post on Monday because most people seem to only view these posts on Monday. I know I check the tag periodically throughout the week to make sure I support everyone, but I don’t think there’s a lot of traffic after Monday.

Thank you so much for your support and the Resteemed! I greatly and truly appreciate you lady~ 💕😘

Today is monday and I will give my best :-D

That’s great to hear! 😃

You and @crystalize are doing amazing for us. I am thankful to you and also happy to connect with your movement through @WomenEmpowerment .

Thank you so much @azizbd! I really appreciate those kind words, that means a great deal to me. ☺️ I am so happy that you and @WomenEmpowerment are connected with us now too!!!

Thanks for the reminder! Sorry I missed posting mine yesterday, but I’ll definitely share next Monday!

Absolutely! Thank you for stopping by to read and comment. No apologies, this initiative is a post when you’re ready type deal. We look forward to seeing your work when you’re ready! 😊

Starting next week I will be teaching my husband needle felting, because he wants to make cool creatures...it should be fun :) We will have to do a post for an upcoming week!

Hello @elew! That is so awesome that you’re going to be teaching him! We just had @felt.buzz join in for #NeedleWorkMonday and his work is really amazing! You can tell he enjoys doing needle felt.

I would love for you all to join us and do a post!!! I’m so excited about all of the different types of arts joining us! I looked at your blog and saw your Beautiful beadwork!!! Wow you are really good at that and your creations look wonderful! How long have you been doing bead art? Do you use a needle of any kind for that?

I have seem felt-buzz here and there, but I will have to go look closer :) I really feel Nyai will have fun with it. He has an amazing imagination and this might be a great way to express it.

Thank you!, I have been doing beadwork and leatherwork for over 30 years , and they both take needles :) I am on bead pause for a bit while I catch up on metalwork, but then will be doing more.

I would be happy to join in :D It is really nice to see the needle community gathering. I have tried to find people in the Steemit search, but it took Pennsif posting the dolphin in the homesteading group to get here, so Thanks @pennsif!

Oh yes if he has a creative imagination I’m sure he will really enjoy learning it! 😊

Wow over 30 years! That’s just Awesome! Well I look forward to seeing you share with us on Mondays once you get back to it.

Yes it’s hard to find other crafters sometimes through the search menu because you only have so many pages to look through. When I first started the initiative I used to go through the search every week to find crafters to join me. Now Gina does all of that for me! Once I see someone mentions crochet, knitting etc. and I see that they do that craft I invite them to join. Have you signed up to get notifications from Gina bot? It’s so helpful and has made my Steemit life much easier.

I’m so glad @pennsif posted the results of his wrist rest. It made a few people aware of the tag! Our goal is to become homesteaders so hopefully one day I will be joining you all over there :)

Oh, how awesome! I have been slacking on my needle hobbies as of late. I should fix that.

We would love to have you share your creations with us! I encourage you to pick up those needles and get hobbying!!! 😉 Thanks so much for commenting~

I love it and will definitely be joining in! I found this initiative from a person resteeming the needlework gift they received (@pennsif received a dolphin wrist rest to celebrate becoming a dolphin). I have a love for slow, old fashioned arts. Once I was embroidering at a bus stop, and this other guy just walking past shouted, "That's a lost art!!" and kept going. 😂

Hello @phoenixwren... I am looking forward to seeing some of your embroidery @needleworkmonday :)

Great I am glad you love the initiative @phoenixwren! I’m so glad you found us! That’s one of the reasons I created it so that these arts can come alive again. So glad to have you join us :)
