Rays of sunshine!
Both of these hats originated in the pacific north west. I was in Eureka, CA where I found a yarn shop (surprise, surprise). After buying a lovely bunch of yellow Merino wool in different shades and some silk, I found myself at a farmer's market where the local angora rabbit breeder was selling fiber.
The second ray of sunshine is made from the same wool as the first but includes ALOT of alpaca I purchased at a lovely winery/alpaca farm in Oregon. Sip wine and buy fiber, I loved it! With a little bit of Angelina sparkle to top it off this hat and its counter part are bright, soft and incredibly warm.
