Summer Flower Garden

in #nature5 years ago (edited)

I visited a historic group of houses and there were little gardens in between them.

Here are a few of the flowers.

Black Eyed Susans are beautiful. I love their strong yellow color and the deep dark center.

I love old historic or Estate gardens! The flowers are always perennials, coming up year after year, taking just a little bit more space, giving a little bit more beauty to the landscape.

The wildness of the black-eyed Susans, a staple in any garden! The flox remind me of my own childhood, running through the field in the back of our house, the sweet smell of flox mixed in with the humidity of the summer days.

Thank you for the wonderful shots of days gone by.
