GETTING GOOD USE of the CANOE
Phoebe made a nest in my overturned canoe..... https://www.audubon.org/field-guide/bird/eastern-phoebe
These Flycatchers favor protected places like under bridges, in barns, in culverts, or in other artificial sites.
They are one of the first to arrive in Spring to start their nesting. Almost every year a pair will build a nest under my carport. Sometimes they will abandon it for whatever reason. This year they have stayed but I do disturb them every time I have to use my Jeep or just walk in front of the area.
Send some phoebes this way!~! We are getting eaten up by horseflies this year!!
They are nasty and the season is young ...
Wow they build that quick!
I knocked down the nest when they first started it but they rebuilt it, so I let them be :-)
That is so cool that it found shelter in the canoe.
I have a Robin and 4 babies outside my front door so now we go out the side of the garage so as not to disturb them. I did a post of them today. ;-)
That one napping one looked dead. Good actor :-)
That's exactly what I thought until I clicked the camera. lol
BA BA BA Bird bird bird, bird is the word!!!!
That looks like the same bird I caught last year after it flew inside the house. I'm pretty sure it was a Phoebe. I said it was anyways in that blog.
Feels good to be able to save critters :-)
