The Biggest Wildlife Show in the World!

The annual Wildebeeste Migration is possibly the biggest and most thrilling wildlife spectacle in the world! It's therefore easy to see why the migration is one of the most sought-after travel experiences.

In Kenya the migration normally starts around July and and involves the movement of astonishing numbers of wildebeest accompanied by zebras and gazelles searching for food and water largely between Kenya's Maasai Mara Game Reserve and the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Some estimates puts the number of animals involved in the migration at one million!

During the migration around 250,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebra fall victims to predators including crocodiles, hyenas and the cats like lions, cheetahs and leopards. Many animals also perish from thirst, hunger, and sheer exhaustion. This is sad but such is the reality in the wilderness unfortunately.
