Today my beehives got attacked by invaders from other hives, real war

You can imagine beehive like medieval castle. There is a queen , soldiers , workers , scouts ,drone bee (male), guards ....everybody has their role in it . Ther is also a honey , we all know that , bees are stackin honey all day every day . But there is a time in year when other hives get the idea that is time for robbery .

When there is a normal flow of nectar bees are happy , but when summer days pass there is no nectar around so queen from another hive issues a order to scouts to find food . Scouts have range up to 2 miles or 3,5 kilometers . When they find suitable hive for robbery they will fly around it and around entrance to find a weak spot on guardians . If scout manages to sneak pass guards and enter the hive , it is a disaster . They will shoot out from hive straight to the mother base and pass information on right location of food ready for steal .

Hostile bees comes in numbers trying to overhelm defences . It is a fight to death. Defending hive will lay all lives to protect queen and honey. If the hive is unable to defend position the invading army will strip the hive of all food in minutes .

On this picture you see 5 guards forming a line to overcome just one attacker .

But not mine hives . Mine bees are preety soldier like . Weel fed up and healthy . If the hive is healthy and well maintained , it will protect itself from invaders .This is common thing in bees life , if they sense that one beehive is weak they will attack instantly.  A beehive needs to have "experienced" guards on entrance , it is a job for older bees . If attacker gets past them , no one on inside will notice .

After dealing with one they return to the gates and form another defensive line to push ot invaders .

Bees are simple beings , they know they purpose in life , they know what to to and when to do . There are rules inside . Without bees help we cant grow food . We need to pay them respect for what they are doing for us. Dont wave with your hand when you see bee around you. It is a scout lookin for food far away from its home . Believe it or not guards on gate knows every single bee entering the hive and their number inside . How they do it no one knows . 

So , give them a brake folks .
