Incredible pictures capture a lakeside clash of the titans in Russia.
- The battle took place in Kurile Lake Park, Kamchatka, an area known for being a salmon breeding site
- Photographer Giuseppe D'Amico snapped the pair and said that they fought for three to four minutes

Giuseppe said the bears fought for about three to four minutes, between the lake and the low river
No love was lost between this ferocious pair caught fighting for an unrivalled place at one of the biggest salmon breeding grounds in Europe.
Giuseppe said: 'I went to this remote and very isolated region to photograph the bears, there are a lot of animals in those places because they are rich in salmon.
'The two bears were at the mouth of a river that flows into the Kurile Lake fishing when suddenly began to struggle.
'They fought for about three to four minutes, between the lake and the low river. They stopped fighting suddenly and turned away without further activity.'

Giuseppe said: 'On this trip I witnessed other skirmishes between bears and many other interesting scenes that have always involved protagonists - bears, salmon and even the seagulls!'

The bears were fairly evenly matched size-wise and by the end of their tussle, there was no clear winner
Giuseppe, from L'Aquila in Abruzzo, Italy, is a business director by trade and travels to the most remote corners of the world to photograph wildlife and traditional populations.
Giuseppe added: 'On this trip I witnessed other skirmishes between bears and many other interesting scenes that have always involved protagonists - bears, salmon and even the seagulls!
'Overall it was a very nice and interesting experience, although very tiring and challenging because of its remoteness and cold wet weather.'
