Xiuhtezcatl: Indigenous Climate Activist at the United Nations Event on Climate Change (News + Video)
On June 29, 2015, indigenous climate activist and Youth Director of Earth Guardians, Xiuhtezcatl, spoke at the United Nations High-Level Event on Climate Change. He spoke to a room filled with representatives from 200 countries. All of them there to discuss solutions and the future of our planet's climate. He stressed that “it's going to take united action from all of us to make a difference.” Two years later the words of this young and passionate activist are even more needed. We are at a critical point that could make or break the health of our planet. Mindful, collective action in combination with spiritual consciousness is the only way forward.
To quote Xiuhtezcatl directly, “we all draw life from the same earth, and we all drink from the same waters.” We have to “end this mindset that we have that we can take whatever we want without ever giving back.” Xiuhtezcatl continues to make his ancestors proud by leading the way in environmental activism. He is involved in a lawsuit filed against the federal government and the Donald Trump administration for failing to act on climate change. His first book, “We Rise,” which details his experiences on the front lines of a global youth-led environmental movement, is available from all booksellers everywhere.

Interesting post.
I have always wondered about "Plan B"?
However AFAIK there is no plan B, this is the only planet we have available ATM.
I'm not sure why so many have problems with that basic premise.
Good job! Thanks to @awennuin you have planted 0.13 tree to save Abongphen Highland Forest in Cameroon. Help me to plant 1,000,000 trees and share my Steem Power to the others.
