Bricat dreaming of Baikal 🌍
Hey, steemians.
Today Bricat wants to tell you about the world known lake Baikal - the biggest (by volume) and freshest lake in the world with the unique nature.
It is located in the middle of the Russia. It is also the deepest lake in the world, it's depth is 1,642 m (5,387 ft).
It is also known for its endemic (unique) tasty fish. Cats usually like to eat smoked or salted omul 😻.
Another symbol of Baikal is nerpa or Baikal seal. It is very clever and very fast animal! And also very beautiful.
The ecological situation around the lake was getting worse in the past years.
The last big scandal is connected to Chinese owned bottled water plant. It started protests among local population and the government decided to temporally ban the building of the plant.
Bricat is worried about this situation and is thinking about it even during the sleep.
The writing on the pillow in the photo is a russian word Байкал that is the name of the lake Baikal.

@bricat Ive heard of the lake, and its known for being so massive. Im used to small lakes, but I cant see the coast on the other side it must be huge.
Looks like some good eats, grilled fish.
Yes. It is very large, almost like a sea. The only thing it's water is really cold. Almost the whole year it's temperature is about 4 grades Celsius. Only in some bays it has comfortable warm water for swimming.
