Yes thats right, marijuana farms are killing Owls.

These animals are nocturnal meaning they hunt and fly about in the dark hours of the night. So not every common person sees an owl or the effects they have on their local environment. But owls have certainly noticed the human impacts on their environment.

Owls are coming up second best two farms because of their high use of vermin poisons. Farms in general need to control critters like, rats and mice so they dont reduce or defect precious produce. Though long time agricultural farmers have cottoned on to how damaging open baiting can be for all animals, marijuana farmers havnt understood the damages of using pesticides.

Owls prodominantly feed on rodents or small mammals. The problem occurs after a rodent has consumed a poison and is deleriously taking its last unconcious steps, down swoops an owl t pick off an easy meal. Then after the rodent is ingested the owl suffers the same effects as the rat and succumbs to a slow painful death.
