Drosera has a sweet smell and tentacles in the flowers are useful to attract the attention of insects. The tentacle then moves to catch the approaching insects to eat.

Nepenthes is commonly referred to as a semar bag in Indonesia. Semar bag captures its prey by producing fluids that make insects trapped. This carnivorous plant needs warm temperatures in order to breed.
