Mount Bespeck

Mount Beshpek is well known to the locals of the village of Chemal, and tourists who have repeatedly visited Chemal, it is familiar from the “Goat Trail” which runs along this very mountain. The mountain is rocky, covered with pine forest, height 523 m.

This mountain attracts, first of all, lovers of a beautiful view. You can climb Bespek from different directions, one of which is clear to tourists - from the parking lot leading to Patmos island. You need to leave to the forest from the parking lot on the island of Patmos, choose a trodden path and climb to the very top. On the mountain there are rocky ledges with which beautiful views of the entire Chemal okrug open: Mount Camel, Chemalsk hydroelectric station, the Katun river and of course the mountains running far beyond the horizon.
На южной стороне горы Бешпек находится санаторий "Чемал". Он относится к горно-климатическим санаториям и является в своем роде единственным туберкулезным санаторием Сибири и Дальнего Востока.
Не забывайте про особенности местного климата, с конца апреля по июль в лесах водятся клещи, носите средства спецзащиты с собой.
