Florida man killed by a bird?!
Hey steemians, I have a few hours to relax and I thought:- let me hit up steemit!
Im sorry Ive practically been MIA the last couple of weeks but life, you know?
So I saw a massive bird killed a guy in Florida? Yes for real! The title isnt even clickbait. hahaha!
The bird is called a "Cassowary" and I for one have never heard of it or seen it, but that might just be because we dont get them in South Africa as far as I know.
Its a large, flightless bird and I mean, wow, check the legs on this guy! :O

They are in fact known to be very dangerous and along with ostriches are the only birds known to have killed humans.
Crazy stuff!
Wow, that's scary!!! I'm glad we don't have those kind of birds here, myself. Ufffff... 😌
The funny question now: what was he doing there?
Apparantly he raised the bird on his farm, but he was 75years old, and he fell by accident. So yeah, but I hear you!

Yes, definitely, those legs are terrified and his beak as well.

Since the Cassowary is flightless, guess we a better idea of what to expect with its fight-or-flight instincts. 😅
Bird looks pretty rowdy. Wouldn't want to run into that in a dark alley.

A friend of mine raised emu's, they got popular for a brief time here for their meat, but the fad died off.
Those big birds were always attacking and beating him up, and he was a huge guy 6'2" 230lbs...something about big birds I guess..lol

Shoo, that is scary, thank goodness they're not found here!
Loads of these in Northern Australia...Very dangerous. Meeting one of these in the rainforest will probably end badly for the human.
